Smart Magnetic Wallpapers can be applied by professional and non-professional users. They are applied just like any other commercial wallpaper, using a vinyl on vinyl adhesive. A vinyl over vinyl adhesive must be used to install these wallpapers. Normal wallpaper adhesive is not suitable.
Please ensure you have read our the Application Guide below, before beginning the installation.
Care must be taken when unpacking and handling not to bend or crease the wallpaper, as this may damage the surface.

To create a magnetic whiteboard wall, choose our Magnetic Whiteboard Wallpaper in a gloss or matt finish.
How and when to use personal protective equipment?
Gloves should be used when applying Smart Magnetic Wallpapers.

The adhesive is not supplied and should be bought separately. You must use a vinyl over vinyl ready mixed adhesive for our magnetic wallpapers.
Are there different colors available?
Smart Magnetic Wallpapers are available in white only.
What is the standard size of a roll of magnetic wallpaper?
Smart Magnetic Wallpapers are available in 53 sq.ft and 107 sq.ft.
What weight is the material?
All our Smart Magnetic Wallpapers have a weight of 0.14kg per sq.ft.
What thickness is the material?
Magnetic Wallpaper has a thickness of 0.60mm.

How to calculate the magnetic strength of magnetic wallpapers.
Smart Magnetic Wallpapers can hold up 5 pieces of 80 gsm A4 paper. For a stronger magnetic surface choose one of our magnetic paints.
What types of magnetic wallpapers are available?
We have three types of magnetic wallpapers available at the moment: Smart Magnetic Wallpaper (magnetic functionality only), Smart Magnetic Whiteboard Wallpaper (whiteboard and magnetic), and Smart Magnetic Whiteboard Wallpaper – Low Sheen (Projector, Magnetic and Whiteboard Wallpaper functionality).
What is the best projector to use with Smart Magnetic Whiteboard Wallpaper – Low Sheen?
Smart Magnetic Whiteboard Wallpaper – Low Sheen is suitable for use with most projectors, including interactive projectors. For high definition or very powerful projector use, we recommend choosing one of our Smart Projector Paints instead.

Use any high-quality whiteboard markers with Smart Magnetic Dry Erase Wallpapers. We have whiteboard markers available from our website
How to remove permanent markers stains from my whiteboard surface
Use our Smart Pro-cleaner and a microfibre cloth to erase the marker.
What type of magnets can be used with Magnetic Wallpapers?
Use Smart Neo Magnets or any good quality neodymium magnets for best results.

Such surfaces are typically used for brainstorming, planning, meetings, presentations, demonstrations, videos, classroom based activities and more.
For best results, we recommend using quality whiteboard markers and accessories. We also recommend cleaning the surface daily with a microfibre cloth.

Can Smart Magnetic Wallpapers be applied on any surface?
Smart Magnetic Wallpapers are designed to be applied to any reasonably smooth surface. They can also be applied to curved surfaces. Ensure any loose material from previous coatings or wallpaper have been removed.
Absorbent surfaces should be treated with Smart White Primer before application.
What glue should I use to apply Smart Magnetic Wallpapers?
For our Magnetic Wallpapers you must use a vinyl on vinyl adhesive. Use a roller to apply the adhesive to the wall. Apply two good coats. Additional adhesive may be required at the edges.
Is it ok to hang the magnetic wallpapers horizontally?
Smart Magnetic Wallpapers can be hung horizontally or vertically, depending on your preference.
How do I hide magnetic wallpaper seams?
When applying any of Smarter Surfaces magnetic vinyl wallpapers, butt the joints, or overlap and double cut through both layers with a sharp blade.
How to fix poor wallpaper seams?
If an area of the joint requires additional attention, add extra adhesive and continue to work together
If the seam is not flat, gently lift the edge of one section of the wallpaper off the wall and guide the material to slot together and work again with spatula. You may need to add a small amount of extra adhesive
How do I remove magnetic wallpaper?
Simply remove like any other commercial wallpaper.
Can I paint over magnetic wallpaper (single functionality only)?
You can apply most commercially available finishes on top, such as normal paints or wallpapers.
How can I remove air bubbles in the wallpaper?
Use a utility knife to slit the bubble keeping slit as small as possible.
Push down on the bubble to remove the air from the bubble.
With a syringe or glue applicator, squirt glue into the opening.
Smooth the deflated bubble with a roller.
Wipe off excess adhesive with a damp sponge.
Do I need to prime the surface before applying Smart Magnetic Wallpapers?
Only absorbent surfaces should be treated with a primer before application. If the surface is uneven you can also apply primer to smooth out the surface.
